Family Reflections:
The Alps do not disappoint!
We got our first snowfall and it couldn't have been timed better. We were hoping for more, but the prediction petered out.
We fully embraced our inner Swiss here as our condo had a sauna and raclette machine (yes, we're all ready to raclette more...loved it); and we had a chocolate factory down the road.
This is the first place we've been, and we're in some smaller towns for sure, where we actually get mistaken for speaking German, like every time.
Through the Alps
We couldn't believe the distinct line difference between fall and winter as we drove.
Unterterzin (a small town on the Walensee...Lake Walen)
Not bad views from our condo! We've entered winter weather and our awesome condo to take some chill out time.
Sauna time...
Raclette time! What a fun way to spend an evening cooking together! Five stars!
Biltin
Little did we know when we booked, that we'd be a 20 minute drive from the most amazing chocolate factory in Switzerland.
Couldn't get enough of the chocolate fountain!
We finished our tour and so many incredible tastings in a delicious way by decorating our own big chocolates with various fillings.
Goodbye Alps...with a quick drive into Liechtenstein (the 6th smallest country in the world)!
Just like home, had a quick snowstorm that we thought would leave more snow, but beautiful nonetheless! Hard to say goodbye to this accommodation for sure.
On our longest drive up to Hamburg, we literally were half a river away from Liechtenstein, so we bounded across the bridge and took a moment in this very small country. Go figure, looks just like the rest of this area.
Check out our quick, but amazing, interlude in Hamburg, at the bottom this Germany Page link!
