Family Reflections:
A general observation...much less plastic is used in Europe. Yogurt has been in cardboard, most drinks are in glass or cans, etc. It's awesome!

Amari wants to live in Sevilla.
B.C. likes that you can get a beer anywhere, even the Aquarium gift shop! I like that wine is the same price as water. Coffee is cheaper than everything.
We love all the parks and how many locals are out enjoying life in the afternoons and on the weekends.
Surprisingly, especially when compared to 25 years ago, we had some of the BEST Japanese food ever (and as a menu del dia, so it was such a good price). We might have gone there twice. 🤗
Make sure you really like the 4-5 short sleeved shirts that you brought!
Sevilla
Plaza de España...an Ibero-American Exposition piece for 1929!
A little homage to Alicante (where I lived when I was 20).
The cool down of the fountain...even with some rain here and there, it's still HOT in Spain.
A quick quad-bike ride through the attached Parque de Maria Luisa.
You know, just kicking back with a little Andalusian horseback ride outside of Sevilla!
Truly awesome, and not that sore afterwards. We were riding between olive and almond fields. Gorgeous and they were harvesting olives!
Waylon and B.C.'s horses like to snack on grape vines, weeds, and almond branches.
Real Alcazar (smaller than La Alhambra, but much less crowded). Below-The cathedral in the background.
As with so many centuries old buildings, many different families, eras, and religious beliefs built here.
I am seriously in love with the Moorish architecture.
The rains came so we escaped inside to the Aquario de Sevilla. It was awesome and calm and surprising!
We miss our hermit crabs (right)!
The alligator/ crocodile/caiman almost got us!
Amari and Waylon tried to teach the octopus the ET touch.
La Giralda (tower on the left above) and Catedral de Sevilla (right above). The tower was awesome to climb as it is all ramps once used by the Sultan atop his horse and now houses the most bells in Spain (below). One rang while we were up there and it scared the dickens out of us all! Some of Columbus' remains are buried (left) here.
Out and About in Sevilla
We all loved walking through the streets, finding gems of history every few blocks.
Las Setas (the mushrooms) in Sevilla, is an interesting artistic structure. Below, we found how kids sled in the heat (cardboard at the base of the installation). 😂
The kids were enamored with Flamenco from Granada, and wanted to go again. This was a ton of fun too, especially to see a male dancer, but not quite as amazing as Granada's cave performance.
Our Sevilla terrace. Not as cool as Granada's view!
We learned that Flamenco shows are not choreographed. The dancer(s) communicate with the musicians through their movements to control the improv.
El Torre de Oro
Amari, Waylon and I took a little Flamenco class together with Luisa. It was awesome...B.C. sat this one out.
Madrid (A quick, but great walkabout Madrid in a day...with an amazing comida!)
Parque del Retiro...Amazing artists, socializing, exercising, dog/people watching here (especially on a Sunday). Saw and appreciated many very talented street performers.
Plaza Mayor (left) and some other plaza that we happened upon and loved.
Palacio Real
Templo de Debod
Who doesn't love a carousel out of nowhere?!?
